Drove up to park in front of the place and watched several people walk out with bags of food. Good sign.
The place itself is no nonsense, just plain cooking. I had sweet and sour chicken and the Caa Waa special fried rice, which is a meal alone. Two huge prawns, plenty of pork and beef and a few greens. It’s an open kitchen and you can watch them cook everything.
The portions are huge, food fresh and very very tasty.
A patron eating in on one of the two small tables had a laksa and it looked and smelled amazing.
Definitely take away only and worth the money.

Don't know what happened tonight- caa waa fried rice had burnt egg in it and it made it all bitter, and the dog got the overcooked prawns. Have this often and its usually awesome....not tonight. Lucky the dim sims were pretty good

I love the Caa Waa Special hot noodles. I’m usually not a foodie and have no favourite dish. But now I finally found a dish I can say I love so much, it’s my comfort, go to food. Me and my husband are from Geelong and would always drop by in this restaurant when we visit Ballarat. The staff are nice and the food is amazing!

Best fried rice we’ve ever had. Unbelievable. Seriously. First time order and the bar has been set high. Dumplings are good, pork has good flavour. Can recommend the fried over the steamed. All in all, ridiculously good. I’m hoping it can be backed up with future orders
